General information only. Not advice. Trading and leverage carry a risk of loss.

Last reviewed 27 October 2026. Education only, not advice.

Trading carries a risk of loss. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to trade.

1. General information only

Everything on this site is general information and education. It does not consider your goals, finances or needs.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing here is financial product advice or a personal recommendation. Nothing tells you to buy, sell or hold anything, or to run, buy or stop any bot.

3. No tax or legal advice

The site does not give advice about tax or law. Ask a qualified professional about your own situation.

4. Example and hypothetical numbers

Example numbers are made-up to show how a formula works and are labelled as such. Numbers we calculated are labelled with the date. Neither kind describes a real account, and neither predicts anything.

5. Backtests are not future results

If a backtest is published, it is hypothetical. It did not trade real money, and a past result does not tell you what will happen next.

6. Trading and leverage carry a risk of loss

You can lose some or all of the money you put in. With leveraged products you can lose more than you deposit, and on some products you can end with a negative balance. Bots can add to losing positions and can lose money quickly. See the guide on margin calls for how this happens.

7. No promise of accuracy

We check our arithmetic and aim to be correct, but we do not promise that the content is complete, current or free of errors. See the method page for how errors are handled.

8. What the calculators do

A calculator gives the result of a formula for the numbers you enter. It does not know your broker's rules, your costs or the market. Wrong inputs give wrong results.

9. Third party names

Where the site names a product, company or term, it does so only to describe how things work. It does not imply any link with them or endorse them.

10. Your decisions are yours

You are responsible for your own decisions and their results. Get advice from a licensed professional before acting on anything you read here.

11. Read your broker's terms

Margin rules, stop out levels, fees and order handling differ between brokers and exchanges. Read the terms of yours. Nothing here overrides them.
